Downtown Maryville is gearing up for its annual Spring Into Fun celebration, happening Saturday, from noon to 6 p.m. on the Nodaway County Courthouse Square.
The popular spring event marks the official kickoff of the Downtown Maryville Market season and will feature over 70 local vendors offering everything from handmade crafts to homegrown produce. Attendees can also enjoy a classic car show, family-friendly games, food trucks, and a full lineup of live music.
Performances in the Downtown Pocket Park include Daylight Savings from 12 to 2, Makenzie Honeycutt at 2 and again at 5, and Tyler Fritzsche with Eli Drennen from 3 to 5 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and make an afternoon of it.
Organizers say last year’s event drew more than 1,400 people, and interest continues to grow. Executive Director of Downtown Maryville, DeAnn Davison, says events like this help strengthen community ties and support local entrepreneurs.
Those interested in entering the car show can sign up online at downtownmaryvillemo.com. The event is open to the public, with full details and vendor listings also available on the website.
Since its founding in 2015, Downtown Maryville has worked to preserve and promote the city’s historic downtown through events, economic development, and community partnerships.
