St. Joseph police department is investigating a shooting on Saturday night

Late Saturday night a shooting took place in St. Joseph outside the Dollar General on St Joseph Avenue north of Downtown. According to a statement released by the city police department, when officers responded, they found a woman parked in a car in a residential neighborhood behind the Dollar General. She had a gunshot wound in her left foot and was transported to the hospital.

The incident is under investigation, and the police department is asking for any information and tips from the public. Surveillance footage recorded from a nearby residence recorded a shot being fired from another vehicle at a white SUV as the two cars passed eachother in the neighborhood.
