The city's water supply was a major topic of discussion at the last Trenton City Council meeting last week. Trenton City Administrator Ron Urton says the council approved a proposal with All State Consultants for water treatment plan improvements.

"..to do design for injecting a permangenate compound into our raw water, as it comes from our reservoir up to the plant, it will greatly reduce the our taste and odor issues.", says Urton.

Urton adds a second bill considered by the council dealt with a grant for the repair and replacement of water fluoridation equipment.

"For years we have been injecting fluoride into clean drinking water as it goes out into the system. It is done to reduce cavities. For this grant here, it is for our equiptment to continue doing that. It will be a scale to allow us to get new equiptment to continue to do that.", says Urton.
