The Missouri Department of Transportation needs YOUR input as it plans the next 25 years of infrastructure updates in the state. The agency opened a virtual town hall this Monday which will stay open through the end of June. Through the online forum, the public can name their transit needs and help to shape long-term transit planning in the state, on both roadways and railways. MoDOT plans out in 25 year increments, but makes more frequent updates to those plans based on public input. Through this latest process, it will address it's freight and rail plan, and its overall state transportation plan.

Those processes will then help the state set budgets and pursue federal grants. Mo-DOT's mission is to improve resident safety, economic opportunity, and quality of life through its development of the state's transportation infrastructure.
