Northwest Missouri State has named department chairs for the coming year as it rolls out a new academic structure. This spring, the university announced it was pursuing the restructure to keep up with the shifting landscape of higher education.
The move created four distinct colleges within the university, with a total of 11 departments housed within those schools.
It has now named department chairs, who manage the day-to-day activities and faculty needs of their respective schools. Dr. Jacqueline Lacy in Agricultural Science, Dr. Nissa Ingraham in Education, and Dr. Steve Ludwig in Business are all stepping into positions left vacant by faculty now serving as college deans.
The new chairs will begin when the new academic structure takes effect on July 1st.
