Right lanes are closed on I-29 at Mill Creek bridge

Motorists on Interstate 29 at the Mill Creek bridges south of Atchinson County Route Z nearing Corning will notice a change in the traffic pattern due to construction.

Crews have closed the right lanes, or driving lanes and opened the left lanes.

The roadway has been narrowed to one late at each north and southbound bridges with a 15-foot width restriction. Motorists should expect delays in the area.

Work on the bridges is expected to be completed by the middle of the month. At that time, crews will begin work on the north and southbound Mill Creek bridges in Andrew County near Amazonia. That work is expected to be completed by December.
