Route 169 in Buchanan County will have night work this week

We have a regional roadway update for drivers and commuters in the area. The Missouri Department of Transportation is conducting night work this week on Route 169 in Buchanan County to scrub and seal the roadway as it passes through the city of St. Joseph. The road will be down to one lane. Flaggers will guide traffic.

Those traveling in Nodaway and Holt Counties on Route 113 should look out for road work as well. There will be closures all week long with pilot cars and flaggers guiding traffic. The agency hopes to have the work complete by week's end, so it can advance to the next section, but progress will be weather dependent. MODOT also closed a bridge today on Route 59 near Craig and Mound City. Travelers can check roadway closures and conditions at traveler.MODOT.org.
