Maryville residents are reminded that there is a public information session this evening regarding planned improvements to the First Street Roadway Corridor. Maryville has contracted the Kansas City-based urban planning firm Kimley-Horn to improve safety and transit along the road, which has some of the most dangerous intersections in the city.
Representatives Kimley-Horn will be on site to answer questions and present their initial design to the public. Consultant with Kimley-Horn John Chamberlain says the session will have an open format.
Chamberlain said, "So that gives individual residents the ability to come in and see what kind of impacts the roadway improvement may have adjacent to their property."
Attendees can ask questions and provide feedback about how the project might impact their neighborhood, yard, or commute.
The session runs from 5-7 pm tonight in the Public Safety Building on First Street.
