Tenaska, an energy company based in Omaha which owns the Clear Creek Wind Farm in Northern Nodaway County, is announcing scholarships to local students. Three awards of 25 hundred dollars each are given annually to local high school students to pursue higher education at a two or four year college. The high school seniors selected for this year's funds are Paidyn Linnville of West Nodaway High School, Olivia Renfro, of North Nodaway High, and Anmol Probhakar of Maryville.
This is the fifth year Tenaska has run its scholarship program in the county. The company has energy projects across the US, and runs scholarship programs in many of those communities. The company reports that, to date, it has given out more than $1 million in scholarships to 1,100 students across the country.
