B.A.C.H. -- 'Beginning Adventures in Classical Harmony'

The Saint Joseph Symphony is launching a new program by the name of BACH -- that's an acronym for 'Beginning Adventures in Classical Harmony.' This program is designed to introduce classical music to children in a fun, exciting way.

It's a hands on experience that aims to combine storytelling, instrument demonstrations, and the art of guided listening to get children exploring the fundamentals of classical music.

This program will have a mix of interactive events, all led by Missouri Western faculty member and pianist Lorrie Dixon. Participants will be up close with musical performance and performers as they learn.

The program debuts this Thursday, July 31st with a private recital for children associated with the St. Joseph YWCA.

Those interested in hosting or participating in the program can contact the St. Joseph Symphony by calling 816-233-7701 or visting saintjosephsymphony.org.
