With the ever changing social media and higher education landscape, colleges are finding new ways to brand themselves and attract new students.
Missouri Western State University, more commonly known as "MoWest" is doing just that.
Embracing their current nickname, the university announced it will now use "MoWest" as it's primary name in college branding.
University President Dr. Elizabeth Kennedy says, "It’s familiar, approachable and reflects an authentic, personal connection. MoWest is a name that feels modern, memorable and distinctly ours.”
Along with an updated name, MoWest also refreshed its current Griffon logo to appear sharper and more modern. Three new primary marks featuring the updated Griffon and the MoWest name will also debut soon.
The new brand will be put to use in a student recruitment effort launching now.
