Chautauqua Celebrates with Art

Chautauqua in Chillicothe

The Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting local and regional artists to their 40th annual Chautauqua in the park celebration.

The Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery in Chillicothe is offering artists supplies to paint outdoors, on-sight during the city's signature fall festival. This new program will give artists the opportunity to create art en-plen air in the midst of the festivities, capturing the energy and spirit of Chautauqua in real time.

Artists will be stationed throughout Simpson Park during the event on September 6th and 7th. Registered participants will be provided with a canvas, which can be picked up at the Cultural Corner Art Guild and Gallery before the festival.

Crystal Narr, Executive Director of the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce says the Chamber is looking forward to the festival, and the opportunity "to highlight local talent".
