Creason named head baseball coach at Southwestern

Former Northwest Missouri State assistant baseball coach Mike Creason will take the reins of the Southwestern Community College program in Creston, Iowa.

The school officially announced Creason as its new head coach on Wednesday.

Creason spent 22 years as an assistant coach for the Bearcats under Darin Loe, and last spring was a volunteer assistant for Northwest softball. The Riverside, CA native came to Maryville for his junior and senior seasons of baseball in 2001 and 2002 before joining the coaching staff.

Creason takes over a Spartan program that posted an 11-40 record in 2025.
