A pair of Northwest Missouri State graduate students were named to the All-MIAA squads, released by the league Tuesday morning.
Caely Kesten and Molly Hartnett earned the honors, leading the Bearcats to a 15-14 regular season record and the No. 8 seed in the upcoming MIAA Tournament.
Kesten was named to the All-MIAA Second Team, her second postseason honor from the conference after receiving third team in 2024. The Denver, CO native is pacing the team with 14.6 points per game, and has knocked down 72 three-pointers. That ranks fourth in program history for most threes in a single season. Kesten has made 189 three-pointers throughout her career, which is third most at Northwest behind only Jaelyn Haggard and Kelli Nelson.
This is the fifth consecutive year that Hartnett has received All-MIAA status. Hartnett leads the conference making 84.6% of her free throws, and third in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.9. She put up a career-high 31 points in a win over newman on February 27, and ranks second all-time at Northwest in scoring (1,778), fifth in assists (430), and second in free throw percentage (84.5).
Kesten, Hartnett and the Bearcats begin their journey through the postseason Wednesday at 6pm in the first round of the MIAA Tournament against Missouri Southern. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5:30pm.
