The Fourth Annual Art, Rhythm and Brews event in downtown Maryville is coming this Friday evening. The event features three stages for live music and several food boothes located around the square. The event also showcases the unveiling of this year's new sculptures located in downtown Maryville. President of the Maryville Public Art Committee Mark Hendrix says Art, Rhythm and Brews has become a popular event for area residents every May.
"You got live music and you got art going on down there. You have food and you've got some drinks, too. And everybody is out having a good time, dropping their worries for the week, end of the school, end of semester and everything going on. They can just relax, find a babysitter for the night. Get out have a date night and have fun."
This year's musical entertainment includes Maryville blues musician Alex Kirt on the fourth street stage, The Matt Cook Collective from Kansas City on the third street stage and the headline band will be local country-rock band Outlaw Creek on the main street stage. This year's Maryville Arts, Rhythm and Brews event is Friday night from eight to 11 pm. Ticket information is available at MaryvillePublicArt.org.
