Squirrel Season begins Saturday in Missouri. Nodaway County Conservation Agent Nate Carr says squirrel season a great way to introduce hunting to youth in the area.
"It's a good opportunity to get young hunters out . You know sometimes deer and turkey you have to be a lot more quiet and a lot more patient. Whereas squirrels, we've got a lot more squirrels and kids can go out and get away with a little more commotion possibly. So it's a good opportunity to get new hunters out. It's a good opportunity to just go out with friends and hunt."
Squirrel season in Missouri runs from Saturday through February 15th, 2020.
