Medical oncologist Dr. Rony Abou-Jawde is our guest on this week’s Health Minute as Mosaic Life Care prepares for the Mammothon April 25 and 26.
The Mammothon offers extended hours in St. Joseph, Maryville and Albany to schedule a mammogram.
"This is one of the most important events that we do," Dr. AJ said. "All screening events are very important – breast cancer obviously one of them. It's a highly, highly successful tool for early detection of breast cancer."
Dr. AJ joins us to discuss the importance of regular checkups, the situations when he would recommend mammograms before the age of 40, and the community that he's called home for nearly 20 years.
