The Northwest Missouri State University Bearcat football team dropped the opening game of the season to Texas A&M-Kingsville 16-7 Thursday night at Bearcat Stadium. Northwest head football coach Mel Tjeerdsma talked with KXCV/KRNW Sports Director John Coffey about the loss Friday afternoon at Maryville's Hy-Vee in a special installment of the Coaches Show. Coach Tjeerdsma's interviews are underwritten by Maryville's Hy-Vee located at 1217 South Main. Coach Tjeerdsma says the Bearcats faced a very good team Thursday night.
