Northwest Missouri State football cruised to a 30-0 win over Missouri Western Saturday afternoon to cap the regular season with a 9-2 record, and solidify their spot in the NCAA Division 2 playoffs.

The Bearcats enter the postseason as the No. 6 seed in Super Region 3, and will meet Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio at 11am on November 18.

Senior quarterback Jonathan Baker marched the 'Cats 52 yards in four plays in the game-opening drive, capped with a 37-yard touchdown pass to Shawn Bane.

Emmanuel Jones added in a pair of rushing touchdowns, and Parker Sampson drilled three field goals en route to the commanding victory.

Baker finished the day 17-27 passing for 207 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions.

Jones picked up 43 rushing yards on 14 carries to go along with his two scores. Chase White led the Bearcats with 100 yards on 12 attempts. Bane ended the day with 6 receptions for 77 yards and a touchdown.

Junior defensive end Austen Eskew put together an all-around great performance in the win. The Lawson native blocked a pair of Missouri Western punts and also earned his team-leading sixth sack.

The Bearcats now turn their attention to the playoffs, where they'll be on the road for the first time since 2014. To view the entire NCAA Division 2 football bracket, click here.
