Northwest Missouri State women's basketball dropped its sixth straight game Wednesday night with a 77-48 decision against Missouri Western in St. Joseph.
The Bearcats trailed 23-7 at the end of the first quarter, and were never able to recover.
Northwest (1-8, 0-3 MIAA) shot just 28.6-percent for the game, turned the basketball over 19 times, and were outrebounded by Missouri Western (8-1, 3-0 MIAA) 41-31.
Tanya Meyer led the Bearcats with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Northwest is back on the road Sunday against Central Missouri for a 1:30pm start. Pregame on the Bearcat Radio Network will begin at 1:10pm.
