Northwest led Pittsburg State nearly midway through the second quarter, but the Bearcats couldn't hang on in a 78-53 loss.
The 'Cats (1-13, 0-6 MIAA) have now dropped 11 straight games, while Pitt (11-4, 4-2 MIAA) started 2018 off with back-to-back wins.
Tanya Meyer led Northwest with 14 points and eight rebounds. Kaylani Maiava also finished in double figures for the second straight game with 10 points.
Pittsburg State used a 35-4 run from the second quarter into the third quarter to pull away from Northwest.
The Bearcats will try to get back on track Thursday against Central Missouri. Pregame on KXCV-KRNW will begin at 5:10pm, followed by the opening tip at 5:30pm.
