Northwest played tough against the 12th ranked team in the nation Monday afternoon, but Central Missouri pulled away from the 'Cats in the fourth quarter en route to a 74-58 win.
The Bearcats (1-15, 0-8 MIAA) trailed by just three at halftime, and were down six entering the fourth quarter. The Jennies (13-1, 7-0 MIAA) were able to pull away in the final quarter.
Jaelyn Haggard led Northwest with 21 points, just two off her career-high. Tanya Meyer also added nine points and 11 rebounds.
The Bearcats go on the road this week with a Thursday night contest against Nebraska Kearney, followed by a Saturday afternoon game at Fort Hays State.
