Northwest 62, Emporia State 76

Northwest fell victim to one of the toughest places to play in the MIAA as Emporia State came out victorious 76-62 Wednesday night.

The Bearcats (3-19, 2-12 MIAA) fell behind after a 16-2 run early in the first quarter. After digging a 26-12 hole in the first quarter, Northwest played evenly with the Hornets in the final three quarters matching them at 50 points apiece in the final 30 minutes.

The loss extends Northwest's drought at White Auditorium to 12 games dating back to 2003.

Tanya Meyer led Northwest with 27 points and 11 rebounds. Jaelyn Haggard added 23 points and four assists in the loss.
