Northwest Missouri State women's basketball found a rhythm from beyond the arc Wednesday night, and that hot shooting carried the Bearcats to an 84-69 win over Peru State.
The 'Cats shot 19-40 from three-point range in the win to set a new single-game program record for three-point makes. The previous record was 16 set in 2009 in a contest against Nebraska-Omaha.
Freshman point guard Jaelyn Haggard led Northwest with 23 points, including seven three-pointers.
Mallory McAndrews added 18 points on 6-6 shooting from beyond the arc.
Northwest (1-2) led by as many as 27 points, and the win snaps a two-game skid to start the season.
The Bearcats return home on Monday, November 20 against Maryville University. That game will tip-off at 6pm. Pregame on KXCV-KRNW will begin at 5:40pm.
