Northwest Missouri State men's basketball capped the 2018 portion of the schedule with a victory that was never in doubt Sunday afternoon.

The Bearcats (12-0) beat Simpson College 108-58 in the final non-conference regular season game.

Northwest jumped out to a 18-3 lead six minutes into the game, and led by 29 points at halftime.

The onslaught continued into the second half as the Bearcats' lead over the Storm reached as many as 56 points. Northwest shot 63.2-percent from the field and hit 12 of 25 three-point attempts.

The 108 points scored are the most by a Northwest team since December 2, 2006 when the 'Cats beat Principia College 111-36.

Sophomore Ryan Hawkins reached a new career-high with 29 points.

Trevor Hudgins recorded his third double-double of the season with 21 points and 10 assists.

Diego Bernard also hit a career-high with 17 points, five rebounds and four assists.

The Bearcats return to conference play Thursday evening against Northeastern State in Tahlequah, OK. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5:10pm followed by the women's basketball game at 5:30. The men's game is set for 7:30pm.
