Northwest Missouri State women's basketball dropped a tough game at home to Pittsburg State 69-48 Thursday evening.

The Bearcats (7-12, 3-7 MIAA) trailed by just four points at the end of the first quarter, but the Gorillas started to pull away with an 11-3 run to start the second. The deficit grew to 18 points by halftime.

Jaelyn Haggard and Kendey Eaton finished the game with nine points apiece.

Mallory McConkey added six points and nine rebounds.

Northwest is back home Saturday for a 1:30pm game against Missouri Southern. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 1:10pm.
