Northwest fell to Washburn 70-51 Saturday afternoon at Bearcat Arena.

The Bearcats (6-9, 2-4 MIAA) led the Ichabods by one in the first quarter after a Mallory McConkey layup, but WU used a 6-0 run to finish the period. Northwest again battled back to tie the game 12-12, but the Ichabods went in front and never looked back from there.

For the game, Washburn shot 51-percent from the field compared to just 34-percent for Northwest.

Jaelyn Haggard led the Bearcats with 18 points on 6-7 shooting, including five three-pointers. Haggard reached 102 three-point makes for her career and ranks 10th all-time in Northwest women's basketball history.
