Homecoming week brings out a big football game at Bearcat Stadium and a look toward the start of basketball practice for Northwest in less than a week.

New Northwest women's basketball coach Austin Meyer joined the KXCV Bearcat Coaches Show Thursday evening to discuss the transition from assistant coach to head coach and how his team is coming together in off-season workouts.

Bearcat men's basketball coach Ben McCollum was also on the program talking about expectations for his club after losing a decorated senior class that featured Justin Pitts, Chris Ndow, Brett Dougherty and Xavier Kurth.

Northwest football head coach Rich Wright and sophomore wide receiver Alec Tatum stopped by the Coaches Show to talk about the impressive win over previously unbeaten Pittsburg State and a much-improved Nebraska Kearney team coming to town for Homecoming this week.
