The fourth KXCV Bearcat Coaches Show of the year offered a look at the hot start for Northwest volleyball, a long road trip for Northwest football, a second shot for Bearcat soccer against the defending national champion and Northwest cross country heading to a big meet in Arkansas this weekend.

Amy Woerth has guided Bearcat volleyball to 11 wins in their first 14 matches, including victories against No. 9 Central Missouri and Missouri Western. On their current six game win streak, Northwest has finished each match in just three sets. Woerth joined the show to discuss the success they've had closing teams out quickly, and the execution and ball controlled they've displayed.

Bearcat soccer meets Central Missouri for the second time in a week. The Jennies, at No. 1 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Poll, beat the 'Cats 4-0 last week, but Northwest controlled the ball for much of the game and just missed on some scoring opportunities. Head coach Mark Gordon sat down with John Coffey to discuss the rematch with UCM.

Northwest cross country is back on the road this weekend after a good showing at the Woody Greeno Invitational in Lincoln, NE last week. Caroline Ross earned MIAA Co-Athlete of the Week honors for her fifth place finish in the gold division of the invitational. Like the Woody Greeno event, this weekend's Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival at Fayetteville, AR will feature a lot of Division I runners. Cross country coach Nick Gibson discussed his expectations for the Northwest runners on the show.

The top scoring offense and defense in the MIAA through three weeks belongs to Northwest Missouri State, and the Bearcats are looking for their sixth straight 4-0 start this weekend. Northwest beat Missouri Southern 63-0 on Family Weekend, now they head to Edmond, OK to play Central Oklahoma at 6pm Saturday. Head coach Rich Wright and wide receiver Shawn Bane joined the show to discuss the matchup with the Bronchos.
