Northwest Missouri State women's basketball dropped an exhibition to NCAA Division I University of Northern Iowa Sunday afternoon 78-53.

The Bearcats (3-2) trailed by 14 points in the opening minutes of the game, and the deficit ballooned to 19 points in the first quarter, but they fought back to cut the UNI lead to just six points in the second quarter. The 'Cats also played the Panthers to a six-point game over the final 35:35.

Kendey Eaton scored a game-high 27 points, including 17 in the second half. Twenty-seven is the most Northern Iowa has allowed to an individual player this season.

Jaelyn Haggard finished with 12 points. Erika Schlosser posted three points, five rebounds, two assists, two blocks and three steals.

Northwest returns to the court Friday at 5:30pm in the MWSU Thanksgiving Classic from St. Joseph. The Bearcats will face Florida Southern.
