Northwest Missouri State held off a late surge from Fort Hays to earn a 74-60 win in Hays, KS Wednesday.
The Bearcats (14-1, 7-0 MIAA) have won 22 straight road games, and 23 MIAA games in a row.
Northwest was rolling in the second half, ahead 51-34. Fort Hays pushed back with a 13-0 run to cut the deficit to just four points. The 'Cats answered with seven quick points, five coming from Wes Dreamer, to open the lead back up to 58-47.
Trevor Hudgins led Northwest with 19 points. He also went 6-6 at the free throw line to extend his MIAA record streak to 41 made free throws in a row.
Dreamer finished with 19 points, and Daniel Abreu added 16.
The Bearcats are back home Saturday to face Nebraska Kearney at 3:30pm. Pregame starts at 3pm on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9.
