The No. 7-ranked Northwest Missouri State University men's basketball team was able to grind out a 57-52 road triumph over the Fort Hays State University Tigers Saturday at Gross Auditorium.
 
Northwest moved its mark to 19-2 overall.

The Bearcat men's team fought tooth and nail to overcome the second best scoring defense in the country.

Diego Bernard scored the final 8 points of the game for Northwest to earn a 5th straight win.

Northwest will return home to take on Emporia State (Thursday) and Washburn (Saturday) at Bearcat Arena.  Both games will be aired on KXCV-KRNW and the Bearcat Public Media App.
