Isaiah Jackson put together the best offensive performance of his career and Northwest Missouri State won its 13th consecutive game dating back to last season in a 88-75 victory over Flagler in the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic.
Jackson, a sophomore guard, entered the game with two career three-point field goals. He hit six against the Saints on the way to a 26-point outing.
Northwest led by as many as 19 points in the first half, and took a 13-point advantage in at halftime. Flagler trimmed the deficit to nine points with 7:16 left in the game, but Jackson answered with a three to push it back to double-digits.
Diego Bernard finished the night with 21 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Luke Waters scored 17 points for the second game in a row.
The Bearcats now get set for the Hillyard Tipoff Classic in St. Joseph where they will face Northern State Friday at 5:30pm. The broadcast on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5pm with pregame.
