Jayna Green went off for a career-high 20 points as Northwest Missouri State topped Southwest Minnesota State 95-86 in the season opener.
The Bearcats (1-0) shot 61-percent from the field in the fourth quarter and eclipsed 90 points for the first time since 2019.
Green was 9-16 from the field, including a pair of three-pointers, on the way to the 20-point outing. She also pulled in eight rebounds and blocked two shots.
Molly Hartnett matched Green's 20 points while going 12-12 at the free throw line and dishing eight assists.
Ella Moody scored 18 points off the bench in her career debut, and Peyton Kelderman scored 14 points in the win.
