Northwest 65, Missouri Western 57

Northwest Missouri State clinched the outright MIAA regular season championship with a 65-57 win over Missouri Western.

The Bearcats (22-4, 18-2 MIAA) led by just one at halftime, but extended its lead by shooting 61-percent in the second half.

Wes Dreamer, returning from injury against Emporia State earlier in the month, put up 16 points and 8 rebounds for Northwest.

Bennett Stirtz scored a game-high 22 points. Daniel Abreu added 11.

Northwest goes on the road Thursday to face Central Oklahoma at 7:30pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5/KRNW 88.9 begins at 7pm.
