Bearcat fall sports begin to wind down and head toward the postseason as October comes to a close.

Northwest Missouri State soccer will face Emporia State in the MIAA Tournament Quarterfinals Friday after finishing the regular season with six consecutive shutouts. Bearcat cross country heads to Joplin for the NCAA Central Region meet Saturday morning. Northwest can punch its ticket to the NCAA National Championship meet with a good showing this weekend. Football heads to Tahlequah, OK for the final road regular season matchup. Northwest is unbeaten against Northeastern State all-time. Bearcat volleyball has won five of their last six matches, and head coach Amy Woerth is currently tied with Sarah Pelster for most wins in program history. Woerth can take sole possession of that record and reach the 200 victory milestone this week.
