Northwest Missouri State tennis got the season underway, while baseball and softball their schedules altered due to weather. Bearcat basketball and track & field, meanwhile, continued to motor on toward the postseason.

Dominic Sedlacek broke his own school record in the 60m dash over the weekend at the Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, KS and continued his breakout junior season. Sedlacek and head coach Brandon Masters joined the program this week to discuss the high bar set for the Bearcat track & field squad with the MIAA Championships just a couple weeks away.

Northwest softball saw its weekend doubleheader with Missouri-St. Louis wiped out due to weather, and this Friday's games in Topeka, KS could be threatened as well. Bearcat head coach Naomi Tellez and corner outfielders Omara Love and Lexi Brown sat down to talk about the bond developed on the team and the upcoming slate of games.

A single game in Springfield against Drury for Northwest baseball was canceled due to weather. Next on the schedule, weather permitting, is a three-game series in Joplin against Missouri Southern to begin the MIAA season. Assistant coach Theo Bartolomeo and graduate students Jacob Selock and Jaren Guck sat down with John Coffey to highlight the early season progression for the Bearcats.

The weekend schedule for Northwest basketball includes a second trip to Oklahoma within three weeks. The Bearcats meet Northeastern State Thursday and Arkansas Fort Smith on Saturday. A pair of freshman from the women's basketball team, Sadie Maas and Brooklyn Stanley, as well as men's head coach Matt Keeley and redshirt freshman Padraig Gallagher join the show to look ahead to the set of away games.

Bearcat tennis got the season rolling with wins for both the women's and men's teams in Kansas City against William Jewell on Friday. Next up is a road trip to Augustana to begin MIAA matches on Thursday. Head coach Mark Rosewell and Luc Mascitti sit down with John Coffey to highlight the start to the spring season.
