Northwest Missouri State's six-game win streak was snapped in a conference-opening matchup against rival Missouri Western 57-48.
The Bearcats (7-2, 0-1 MIAA) started slow making just two of 17 shot attempts in the opening quarter. The Griffons led 19-2 after just seven minutes, and entered the second quarter ahead 22-4.
