Northwest Missouri State suffered its fifth consecutive setback Saturday afternoon in a 70-53 loss to Central Missouri.
The Bearcats (4-15, 2-8 MIAA) were plagued by turnovers early in the game, while the Mules went on a 14-2 run to take a double-digit lead.
Central Missouri posted its best shooting night of the season hitting 60.4% (29-48) of their attempts in the win.
Emorie Knox paced Northwest with 15 points. He also made three-of-six three-point attempts.
Ja'Vion Byers added 10 points off the bench.
Northwest is on the road Saturday for a matchup with Missouri Western at 3:30pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 3pm.
