Northwest Missouri State's come back efforts fell short in a 64-58 non-conference road loss to Northwest Nazarene Saturday night.
The Bearcats (2-7) never led in the game and trailed by as many as 12 late in the first half. Northwest fought back thanks to strong performances from freshman Marcus Glock and senior Emorie Knox to cut the deficit to one point on three separate occasions. Each time, however, the Nighthawks had an answer. A layup by Knox with 6:02 remaining was the final push back to threaten stealing the lead, but Northwest Nazarene scored the next six points to push back on the Bearcats.
Glock went for a game-high 20 points.
Knox finished the night with 15 points.
Northwest completes the road trip Monday night in Ellington, WA against Central Washington at 9pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 8:30pm.
