Northwest Missouri State earned its first conference win of the Matt Keeley era Thursday night in a 65-54 road victory against Emporia State.

The Bearcats (2-6, 1-1 MIAA) shut down the Hornets from beyond the arc, limiting ESU to just 3-17 shooting on three-point attempts.

Emorie Knox, however, knocked down six shots from long range en route to a season-high 29 points for the Bearcats.

Luke Moustakas also hit double figures with 13 points.

The Bearcats will be off for nine days until beginning a swing through the northwest, with games in Idaho and Washington. Northwest Missouri State will face Northwest Nazarene on December 14 at 8pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 7:30pm.
