Northwest Missouri State couldn't overcome Emporia State's best shooting night of the young season in a 75-66 loss.
The Bearcats (7-3, 0-2 MIAA) have dropped back-to-back games after seeing their six-game win streak end on Tuesday.
The Hornets came out swinging Thursday night at home. ESU led by 12 at the end of the first quarter, and only saw the lead grow as they hit 54-percent of their shots in the opening half.
The Bearcats cut the deficit to nine points thanks to a 14-2 run in the second half, but they couldn't get any closer.
Lindsey Kelderman scored a team-high 13 points for Northwest.
Kelsey Fields finished with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Northwest is off until a December 19 matchup against Colorado Mesa in the NSU Holiday Invitational. Tip-off is scheduled for 11am. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 10:30am.
