Northwest Missouri State continued to flex its muscles defensively in a 66-51 win over Rockhurst Thursday afternoon.
The Bearcats (4-1) limited the Hawks to just 14 points in the first half as they pulled away for their third straight victory. Rockhurst shot just 2-14 in the second quarter, and hit only one of nine three-point attempts in the game.
Lindsey Kelderman scored in double figures for the second straight game. The junior scored 12 points on 4-5 shooting from beyond the arc, with all of her production coming in the second half.
Kelsey Fields paced the Bearcats with 17 points and six rebounds.
Northwest faces Graceland Friday at 3pm in Kansas City.
