Northwest Missouri State withstood a late charge from Rogers State to earn a 76-73 win Saturday afternoon.

The Bearcats (11-12, 4-9 MIAA) hit 6-12 from beyond the arc in the second half to take control, and they led by 13 with 4:47 remaining in the game. The Hillcats came alive to make a push, cutting the lead to three points with eight seconds remaining, but Lindsey Kelderman sank two free throws to put the game out of reach.

Four Bearcats scored in double figures, with Caely Kesten's 21 points leading the charge. Kesten crossed the 1,000 point threshold for her career in the win.

Kelsey Fields added 16 points while hitting all six of her free throw attempts in the win.

Kelderman had 16 off the bench, while Molly Hartnett ended the night with 11 points.

The 76 from Northwest is the team's highest point total in a game since scoring 80 against William Jewell on November 23. The Bearcats are 6-0 in games that they score at least 70 points.

Northwest returns home Thursday for a matchup with Missouri Southern at 5:30pm. Pregame on KXCV 90.5 and KRNW 88.9 begins at 5pm.
